Corporate Background and Capabilities – August 2002

Millimeter Wave Technology and MWT-Materials, (successors to the former Millimeter Wave Technology, Inc. of Marietta, Georgia), have been active in the research, development, analysis, and manufacture of radar absorbing materials and coatings (RAM) since the early 80s.

Success in developing broadband radar absorbing material was presented to the NRL (Naval Research Laboratories), and after demonstration of the performance of our material, they installed our material on Naval vessels in the Persian Gulf in 1991.

MWT has extensive experience with a variety of absorbers based on standard and proprietary absorption techniques. We have exclusive access to a series of materials utilizing multiple absorption techniques. Continued research and development work has kept MWT on the leading edge of the State of the Art in RAM materials. We have used this knowledge to customize our products using various proprietary absorption mechanisms for differing materials in a variety of operational scenarios. Our experiences have allowed us to develop an expertise in the benefits of various RAM materials under varying circumstances.

Located in Passaic, New Jersey, MWT-Materials caters to the needs of the US Government and its various subcontractors.

Since inception, MWT has pioneered new markets:

1. Instruments: Until 1999, MWT produced a line of portable reflectometers which have been sold to, among others:

· Aircraft manufacturers to enable instant check of newly applied coatings.

· US, and many foreign navies for the maintenance of existing RAM on-board deployed ships.

2. Telecommunications:

· MWT markets thin flexible blankets and flexible silicone or urethane rubber RAM in the typical frequencies of cellular telephone and other similar wireless equipments. (500 MHz to 4 GHz).

· Absorbing blankets for TV antennas and transmitters.

· Portable anechoic chambers.

3. Military:

· Multi-spectral camouflage and EMI shielding for Special Forces uniforms and other uses.

· Broadband absorbing tiles as per customer’s specifications.

4. Others:

· A novel room temperature curable ceramic coating, qualified for space shuttle use. Other uses include Ship decks protection against missile launches, and High temperature RAM.

· Custom fitted absorbers for civilian applications.
