Jan 5 2000 RELOCATION Effective January 21, 2000, Millimeter Wave Technology Inc. is pleased to announce our new corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility! After 19 great years in Marietta, Georgia, Millimeter Wave Technology (MWT) is moving its manufacturing facility to Passaic, New Jersey.
MWT was founded in 1981 as a spin-off of Georgia Tech Research Institute. MWT became an early leader in the field of radio-frequency absorbing materials. MWT waterproof composite microwave and millimeter wave absorber materials (paint, blankets and tiles, electrical and magnetic absorbers) found major applications in Radar-Cross Section (RCS) management and in solving reflection problems for the wireless communication industries, among others.
The move of the production line to our Passaic headquarters and plant will further increase MWT’s strongest point: Responsiveness to Customer’s Requirements. Already, some stimulating new products; such as our room temperature curable ceramic coating (ARC-4300) and other new exciting RCS management coatings have been introduced.
For almost two decades, MWT has had a track record of providing to its clients the thinnest most performing absorber materials with the lightest weight, from 500 MHz to 96 GHz.

Sep 8 2000 ANTENNA GHOSTING Well known entertainment company’s Digital TV System in a large southern city was having problems with fuzzy TV reception in an area about 5 blocks wide by 2 miles long in the downtown section. The problem was traced to out-of-phase reflections coming from a penthouse directly behind the Transmitting antenna which was located on top of a 26 story office building. A test was devised to absorb these reflections using MWT’s standard Microwave Absorber Blankets, MAC-6200, whose best absorption ( -20 dB ) is in the frequency range of 2 Ghz up through 6 GHz. The TV signal in the affected section was perfectly clear. MWT worked with the antenna manufacturer and the TV distributor to accomplish a cost-effective, permanent fix by installing our blankets directly behind the antenna to “shadow” the penthouse behind the antenna. Mar 5 2001 GCA RADAR REFLECTIONS ELIMINATED
A major military airport in France had experienced considerable problems with radar reflections from a large industrial chemical tower in close proximity to the airport runway. The government had directed that the tower be removed, unless a method was devised to reduce the radar reflections from the tower. MWT engineers were called in to recommend a solution to the problem. Engineers recommended that our standard Microwave Absorber Blankets, MAC-6200, be redesigned to increase the size of the blankets and attach them to a backboard which could be installed onto the side of the tower facing the GCA radar. This installation solved the reflection interference problem and allowed the chemical plant to continue operation. Please Click Here to View Additional Press Releases
Jan 7 2002 FALSE ALARMS OF THEFT SENSORS ELIMINATED
A merchant in Alaska was having difficulty with false alarm of the Sensomatic Detection system located at the front door of his store. One of the Detector Guard Posts on either side of the door was located too close to the product display shelf. The sensor on the products located on the shelf would periodically cause the store alarm to sound, causing a false alarms and an embarrassment to the store manager. MWT engineers were called in to help design a protective shield which could be installed on the opposite side of the Sensomatic Detector Guard Post to eliminate false alarms. Since the frequency of operation of the Sensomatic System is so low (about 20 to 40 MHz) our standard electrical absorber is not effective. We were able to develop a special RF shielded fabric which was able to provide the isolation on the back side of the Guard Post. The product is our MAC-2130-GP Flexible Absorber material. This material is very thin, lightweight and flexible, and can be cut or custom fabricated into any pattern necessary. Please Click Here to View Additional Press Releases
Nov 4 2002 MAC 8101 WATERPROOF ABSORPTION MATERIAL Millimeter Wave Technology, founded in 1981, manufactures waterproof composite microwave and millimeter wave radar absorber materials (RAM) with major applications in radar cross section (RCS) management and in solving reflection problems (EMC & EMI) for wireless communication systems. Today, Millimeter Wave Technology announces its new MAC-8101 Waterproof microwave ultra wide absorber. Very light, thin and flexible, as well as wear, tear and POL resistant, MAC-8101 will absorb better than 15dB from 500 MHz to well over 5 GHz. This attenuation is from normal incidence up to 45°, in either polarizations. It has already been adopted by two major cellular communication devices manufacturers in their manufacturing process. Other typical applications are:
Mar 3 2003 MAC 8101 Secured Assembly area for Custom Installation and Verification Today, Millimeter Wave Technology announces the availability of a secured assembly area for custom installation and verification uses.
